Learn more about my projects

At the moment, I am back in Norrbotten, Sweden, after working for Velvet Creative Alliance in Tallinn.

Prior, I took part and composed 4 videos for Toppturshelgen, a ski mountaineering race in Hemavan, Sweden.

Before that, I was in an internship working for IDEO in Munich, Germany.

But that was only after I ran Swiss alpine (setting a new personal running altitude record) and finished my 4th 100km+ trail ultramarathon, beating my previous best by 6 hours.
In 2010, I studied one year of my 2 year MA study in Interaction Design at UID. Earlier the same year I recieved my Bachelor of Industrial Design at Umea Institute of Design.
During that Bachelor,

I was a president of the student union.
A representative in the Institution board.
I started my own company.
Did a 3 month Internship at Hagglunds in Ornskoldsvik.
Worked 3 years part time for Loplabbet.
Planned and accomplished my degree project in cooperation with Sony Ericsson.
And assisted Citymove, a global project on moving cities.

Before getting into Umea, there was some wood design studies in the High Coast area.
And I had a short industrial design internship at Permobil in Timra.
Before that, a number of different short term jobs.
That was only after I had finished a bunch of more or less elementary schools.
In which I spent some time hanging around Roberto Giolito at FIAT Advanced Design in Turin.
From 1985, up to that point in my life.
I was the kid I still am today.

Parts of projects.

Below you will find excerpts from a few of my projects. Sometimes also smaller things like an Iphone+Processing pong game or the digital avatar above. Programmed with processing back in 2010. Here is the code to it.

Programming and electronics.

Things like Processing and Arduino aren't just fun to know. These tools allow me to develop functional prototypes, for example testing ideas or monitoring behaviours.

16 individually set up LED's allowed full control in trying out light patterns.

Shimmering lights in this roaster indicates heat and state.

The paper roll project came out of eccessive use of paper at school.

By mounting a wheel and a sensor onto it.

And programming an circuit to log values, we could keep track of consumption.

Time, date and sheet lengths were logged over the course of weeks.

By doing this patterns got clear, we could see and alter our paper usage behaviour.

The Gjopi light model connected to a computer that could draw the values onto a screen.

It also had lights inside, that shimmered when moving it.

I love telling stories.

Like in the case of Maria, a classmate that left Belarus and came to Sweden in search of a structure as a designer. Or as in the case of my BA degree, exploring the story on how what tools we use for knowledge, affect the way we experience concepts.

Most of all, it's about the big picture.

What ever we are thinking about or working with, there is always a larger picture. Are we considering it?

The Citymove project had both global and local interests and perspectives. Situated by the town of Malmberget, just one city of many in the world that has to relocate.

A two stage process, creating a pre-study and researching the town, and then performing a workshop with over 40 global professionals.

Finding out what moving a city is all about.

This is a tool for the outdoor schools of Sweden, a tool that is created by the student at ages 6-9. Constructed in a way to create personal links to measurements and math terms.

Measuring, feeling, and learning terms such as longer than or heavier than.

Existing woodshop classes in schools meant that there is no extra expense at implementation. At the same time craft values are gained.
